Price list – September 2025 (To be reviewed annually every September although may be changed at any time with 6 weeks’ notice)

All government funding accepted and tax free childcare we are happy to provide receipts for universal credit claims etc.

Non funded Daily charge is £75

*DEPOSIT TO SECURE YOUR SPACE IS £150 * Your deposit secures your child's space on the register at Fledging explorers and covers all and any admin costs relating to your child’s space at Fledgling explorers and 3 settling in sessions of 2 hours per session with a one to one member of staff this takes place the week before your child’s start date.

Your daily non consumables/consumables and food charge is £8.00.

(Edible consumables - Breakfast, lunch, tea, Am snack and pm snack £6.00 non consumables - Nappies, wipes, nappy bags, nappy cream, sun cream etc £2.00)

This covers the costs of your child’s nappies' , wipes, nappy waste bags, nappy cream, sun cream, a morning snack, an afternoon snack, a breakfast, a cooked lunch and a tea. Please note no profit is made on this fee, it only just covers the minimum cost of the above items. The government enforces we inform you the fee we charge for consumables is voluntary for any places that are entirely paid by funded hours and that your funded hours are not conditional of this fee. * You will be given a packed lunch policy if providing your own snacks, lunches and tea if you request to not pay the consumable fee.

Funded hours are used across a full day term time only as below 38 weeks per year we do not stretch funding.

Your daily place is 7:45 am -5:45 pm.  Allowing you to use 30 hours per week over 3 days you may book 2 additional days if needing more than 3 days child care but this is not conditional.

Non term time weeks of 13 weeks per year are charged at our full daily rate of £75.00 per day plus £8.00 consumables total £83.00

The minimum requirement is 2 days.  You are invoiced Monthly around the 20th of the month. We are an all year round nursery operating all year round contracts only. I may at my discretion offer a small amount of teacher only term time only contracts per year term time only contracts are invoiced termly*Please see the contract for more details.

​​Childcare funding simplified

​

Childcare funding can be a daunting and seemingly complicated thing to get your head around so here we have tried to simplify the info as much as possible to help you out and have included the links for you to follow to apply for your funding.

First thing to note is nobody gets free childcare you get funded hours 38 weeks of the year.

Here at Fledgling Explorers you can use your funding across our full day 7:45 am -5:45 pm term time only 38 weeks per year, our normal daily fee of £75.00 per day applies to all additional days used that are used over your entitlement and during school holidays. You can use tax free childcare account to pay any nursery invoices all year round in addition to your working parent entitlement saving you a further 20 % on any invoices.

Every working parent with a child aged 9 months old to 4 years who meets the eligibility criteria will be currently entitled to 30  hours per week 38 weeks per year funded childcare. Some working parents of 2 year olds and 3 year olds will also be eligible for 30 hours funded childcare 38 weeks per year. 

To be eligible you must be working, be the parent of the child with parental responsibility, the child mut live with you, You must have a national insurance number, Over the next 3 months you and your partner (if you have one) must each expect to earn at least:

  • £2,380 before tax if you’re aged 21 or over (equivalent to £183 per week)

  • £1,788 before tax if you’re aged 18 to 20 (equivalent to £137 per week)

  • £1,331 before tax if you’re under 18 or an apprentice (equivalent to £102 per week)

So its actually super easy to apply follow the link below check if you are eligible, follow the .govs step by step procedure to apply for your code, give us your code,name,address,child's name,child's date of birth and national insurance number, then just log back in every 3 months to reconfirm your code and that's it.

Separately in addition to the working parent entitlement you may also be entitled to tax free childcare where you can save a further £2,000 per year on childcare its again super easy you set up an account out money into it and pay any invoices you owe us through that account saving you around 20% - please note accounts must be set up and any payments paid this way must leave your account 7 working days before your invoices are due. Universal credit

​

If you are currently entitled to universal credit you may also be entitled to use your entitlement to universal credit to help you with child care costs. You may be able to claim back up to 85% of your childcare costs back through your universal credit claim. You do this directly with universal credit and not us the nursery.

You can use working parent entitlement government funding and claim back universal credit child care support yes you can! You cannot use the working tax childcare element of funding and universal credit no you cant!
